Edna Howell Thrift Store
Mary Lane, Brenda Hare - Directors
The Edna Howell Thrift Store was originally started by First Reformed United Church of Christ (currently Christ’s Community Church) and then was purchased as part of the Community Center by West End Ministries. The intent of the Thrift Store is to offer community members the opportunity of purchasing quality items at affordable prices.
The Thrift Store is currently located at the West End Community Center. Items that are available for purchase include household appliances, furniture, clothing and toys. All of the proceeds that are collected through the Thrift Store benefit the WEM programs. In 2008 the Thrift Store contributed over $45,000 to West End Ministries programs. Donations are always welcome and greatly appreciated. Donations are accepted on Monday through Friday mornings at the West End Community Center. If you would like to have your donations picked up please call 884.1105 to schedule an appointment.
Hours of Operation
The Thrift Store is open on Fridays from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
